Some people own very many dogs. The dogs and man relate very closely. Man and dog has spent a lot of time when they are close to one another. Man and dogs have been doing a lot of things together. Their cooperation is superb. One of the areas that they have cooperated with man is in the movie industry. So many types of dogs have been used by man to produce movies. This article talks about some of the dogs that have been used in movies.

The first dog that featured in the movies was Lassie the Laddie. The story began in the form of a short story. The character was soon immortalized in the year 1954. There were a total of six male dogs that were featured in this series. The movies provided fun to the people for almost twenty good years. Around five hundred or more episodes came from the movie. The episodes accumulated to around seven long movies. The first dog to feature in this series was called Pal. Later on Pal left the scene and the role was taken by his son named Lassie junior took over. Baby, Spook, Mire and Hey Hey who were all Lassie juniors’ sons, later on, got into the industry one after the other.

The second dog to feature in a movie with a man was the wonder dog in Rin Tin Tin. In this movie the dog that was used was the real dog. It was a German shepherd who was used in the First World War. An American soldier rescued it from the battlefield who later trained him to take a career in movies. This dog was used in around twenty-seven movies. The soldier searched for a replacement for the dog after he died. The priority for replacement was given to those that were closely related to him. None of the other animals were able to perform to the level of Rin Tin Tin.

The third dog that was used by humans to an action movie is Strongheart, the original show dog. It was used to provide service in another world war, this time the second world war. The second world war ended, and the owner of the dog had a lot of problems taking care of the fog. He decided to send the dog to America to a friend who dealt in dog breeding. He was praised for his strong stature and physical qualities. This drew the attention of one of the actors who loved this dog very much. A friend of the actor purchased the dog and made to appear on the big screen.
